Fire in attic burns through roof in Houston

Three northwest Houston residents faced property damage after a fire broke out overnight in the attic of their two-story home.

As of yet, no injuries have been reported from the fire that broke out around 11:45 p.m. on May 4, near Mallory Bridge and Oleander Point. Responding firefighters from the Cy-Fair Fire Department immediately attacked the fire and were able to extinguish the flames quickly. Although the roof of the house was burned through by the fire, none of the adults in the house at the time of the incident were harmed. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, but currently the fire marshal guesses it was caused by an electrical issue.
