Kennedale elderly woman dead in residential fire

An 86-year-old woman recently was dead after her house in Kennedale was ravaged by fire, an article of CBS DFW reported on December 9.
The fire reportedly broke out at around 3:00 p.m. in the 600 block, Hillside Drive. Responding fire crews recovered the body of the elderly woman whose name was not released. The house reportedly sustained heavy damage. According to Fire Chief Mike McMurray it is nearly impossible for anyone to survive with the extent of the smoke that engulfed the house. Nearby residents stated that the old woman was “very sweet and very warm.”
