Recent heavy rainfalls forced residents in two subdivisions in Granbury, Texas to evacuate their homes due to flooding, KDFW Fox 4 reported on June 23.
Reports coming from the Hood County Sheriff’s Office stated no one was injured in the flood. At least 36 individuals from 10 houses in Quail Run and Sunchase Acres subdivisions were temporarily relocated. Rescuers needed to use a boat to access at least two houses due to the flood. The American Red Cross helped 18 people that needed housing. Ray Wilson of the Hood County Fire Department stated some homes were clearly harmed by the flood and an assessment will take place to review all damages.
