East Texas flooded due to heavy rains
Due to heavy rains in the first week of April, a flash flood warning took effect in northeast Texas.
On Sunday, April 6 the National Weather Service (NWS) said that some parts of Texas received as much as three to five inches of rain.
In Longview, police closed flooded roads to prevent motorists from becoming stuck. Meteorologist, Matthew Duplantis informed the public that many of the storms are expected to travel from southwest to northeast.
