Arkansas makes ruling on Ticketmaster lawsuit

The Arkansas Supreme Court has recently ruled on a deceptive trade practice case involving Live Nation Entertainment Inc., and Ticketmaster claiming that they charged fees for concert tickets that violated state law.

According to the lawsuit, an Arkadelphia man claimed that Ticketmaster charged $50 in service fees when he purchased four concert tickets to see Jason Aldean.

An article in Business Week stated that the judge in the case ruled that Ticketmaster, and their parent company, Live Nation, violated deceptive trade practices and asked the high court to clarify this area of the law. Ticketmaster sought a rehearing in the case, but it was denied.
