Texas sees wildfires across the state
The state of Texas has been in the middle of wild weather, including hail, windstorms, tornadoes, flooding and droughts that have lead to wildfires.
A seven month-long drought in Brewster County has left the perfect landscape for a wildfire. A fire spread quickly through a large field and threatened almost 60 homes. Nearly 35 volunteer fire fighters were at the scene in order to fight the fire.
There have been 10,000 fires in the state and nearly 436 homes have been destroyed since November 15. Even though it has been a small amount, recent rain has given climatologists hope that the wildfire season will end soon.
