Water flooded from a broken water main line recently, causing damage to all the houses in a Boerne, Texas neighborhood, a January 15 article of KENS 5 San Antonio reported.
According to the affected residents, the broken water main had created a lake-like body of water in the neighborhood. The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) told reports that the flooding occurred when a 24-inch pipe carrying drinking water ruptured. Some residents are expecting to be evacuated from their homes for up to a month. A flood repair service provider who was in the area to assess damaged homes stated that the situation is “a little disrupting”. Affected residents are expecting to get assistance from SAWS to possibly cover the expenses caused by the flooding.
