Fire officials in Dallas, Texas estimated $50,000 worth of property was lost in the recent fire that damaged a vintage home and resulted in an elderly woman getting hurt, an article of DentonRC.com reported on December 16.

According to reports, fire crews from five departments worked together containing the fire on December 15, which occurred in the 4000 block of Johnson Street in Denton. The woman, whom authorities say was in her eighties, was transported to a hospital due to smoke-related injuries caused by the fire. A Denton fire official said there was someone shouting from inside the house during the fire. Authorities later learned a person assisted fire victims during that time. The damaged house was built in the 1860’s.
