A homeowner in Galveston County, Texas recently filed a claim due to allegations that his insurance provider was unreasonable and denied him benefits he needed to repair his damaged house, an article of SE Texas Record reported on November 8.
In the complaint, Donald Clark is claiming that Scottsdale Insurance Co. violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act by breach of contact. The insurance provider, together with Wardlaw Claims Service LLC, denied Clark the insurance coverage after a plumbing problem caused significant damages to his home. Clark alleged Wardlaw was negligent when inspecting his house in September last year, which resulted in Scottsdale Insurance denying him benefits. Clark is currently seeking to recover all the costs and damages from the defendants.
