Flooded Houston house ravaged by fire

A house in the southwestern portion of Houston that was recently affected by flood was further damaged after a fire broke out, KHOU 11 News reported on June 5.

Reports from authorities revealed that fire personnel responded to a fire that broke out in the 1900 block of ValKeith at about 8:00 a.m. The fire was reportedly discovered after a nearby resident saw fire and smoke from the house and called 911. The home was one of the houses affected by flooding caused by recent storms. Authorities are conducting a further investigation to figure out the cause of the fire.
