Many East Texas business establishments and churches have been damaged by flooding caused by a recent storm, ABC 9 reported on April 28.
According to reports, the massive flooding started on April 27. A business owner identified as Dennis Dunton discovered that his establishment had been flooded. According to Dunton, flood water causes damage because it enters the floor plate as it seeps inside the establishment. Dunton further stated that people do not realize that their homes may not be covered by insurance if flood water from the outside gets into their homes. Aside from the businesses, the Long Chapel Church also suffered severe damage from the flooding.
