A house in East Dallas was recently damaged by flooding after a city water main burst, nbcdfw.com reported on August 26.

According to reports, the flood occurred at Military Creek Parkway and North Prairie Creek Road around 1:30 a.m. Monica Hampton said that about an inch of water rushed inside her home coming from the backdoor. The incident was caused by an old and eroding pipe. Utility crews said it would take a whole day to fix the problem. Hampton, who has only lived in her home for three years, said she was not prepared to deal with the water damage.
