Dozens of houses ravaged in Texas Panhandle wildfire

Hundreds of people were displaced after nearly 75 houses in the Texas Panhandle were charred by wildfire, an article by Fox News stated on May 12.

As of reporting, Police Chief Monte Leggett stated that fire crews have already contained most of the wildfire, which spread through at least two square miles. Though no one was reportedly injured in the wildfire not far from Fritch, hundreds were temporarily relocated from their burnt houses, Hutchinson County’s Danny Richards stated. Winds on May 12 were estimated to have a speed of 30mph according to the National Weather Service.
