In an effort to raise awareness of the Affordable Care Act’s March 31 enrollment deadline, Dallas area hospitals are making extra efforts to help uninsured patients sign up for healthcare.
The Affordable Care Act requires that all uninsured patients pay a fine if they are not signed up for health coverage by March 31st. Medical centers across the country, like Dallas’s Parkland Memorial Hospital, have been taking measures to inform and assist uninsured patients.
Parkland Memorial estimates that about 25,000 of its patients should be signing up for insurance under the Affordable Care Act provisions.
Unfortunately, many people who do have health insurance have trouble getting the coverage they believe they are owed. The attorneys at Smith Kendall, PLLC, help Dallas people fight for the financial coverage that their policy states they are owed.
