ACE American Insurance is being sued by a Clear Lake company named Why Nada Cruz, LLC.

The lawsuit against ACE American Insurance claims that the insurer committed breach of good faith, breach of contract, and violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Why Nada Cruz filed the lawsuit in the Harris County District Court on August 10th.

According to the company, ACE American refuses to pay for the damages caused by the sinking of the company’s 67-foot vessel Sweet Dreams, even though they issued an insurance policy for the vessel. In the lawsuit, Why Nada Cruz is asking for a payment of $330,000 to cover all damages along with attorney’s fees and court costs.
